A Revelation of Persephone by Pastor Judy Meir

“When we moved into the Persephone theatre 6 years ago, we did all the Spiritual covering, intercession, insight, warfare that we are called to.  We cleansed what we felt should have been cleansed, we set up barriers, hedge of protection and we prayed for blessings to come upon the community and our fellowship.  Was that enough?

The Lord brings new and fresh insight and we can recall the Lord’s words when He came down from the Mount of Transfiguration to find His disciples struggling to bring healing to a young boy –  Jesus declared that some things only can be moved by prayer and fasting. (Matthew17:21 NKJV).

Pastor Judy had a new and fresh revelation last week that we have posted here.  It shows a number of significant issue that we need to feed from.  As believers, we want fresh manna.  Manna which has empowering, strengthening, enlightening, encouraging and much more.   The timing of this revelation is a breakthrough moment for the church and it will do the same in your individual walk with the Lord.”

Revelation of Persephone by Pastor Judy                                   August, 2014.

Hi, I was minding my own business on Friday afternoon, just sitting outside and enjoying the quietness of being in our yard.  I was listening to something on my ipad and the word Persephone came to mind.  I continued to watch what I was seeing on my ipad, but the thought came stronger, and I thought o.k. I will check what Persephone means. As most of your know the church was the Persephone theatre.... this is what it said from mythology.

Persephone is the goddess of the underworld in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, goddess of the harvest. She was such a beautiful young woman that everyone loved her, even Hades wanted her for himself. One day, when she was collecting flowers on the plain of Enna, the earth suddenly opened and Hades rose up from the gap and abducted her. None but Zeus, and the all-seeing sun, Helios, had noticed it.

Broken-hearted, Demeter wandered the earth, looking for her daughter until Helios revealed what had happened. Demeter was so angry that she withdrew herself in loneliness, and the earth ceased to be fertile. Knowing this could not continue much longer, Zeus sent Hermes down to Hades to make him release Persephone. Hades grudgingly agreed, but before she went back he gave Persephone a pomegranate (or the seeds of a pomegranate, according to some sources). When she later ate of it, it bound her to the underworld forever and she had to stay there one-third of the year. The other months she stayed with her mother.

When she was in Hades, Demeter refused to let anything grow and winter began. This myth is a symbol of the budding and dying of nature. THEN I READ THIS

Her names means  "she who destroys the light."

I immediately thought of the name of our Church being the Lighthouse Victory Church, not just Victory Church..... The building we are in was originally the Westgate Alliance Church.... Gods House here in Rusholme Road, it was then sold to the Persephone Theatre, which was founded in 1974.  This is relevant as it is exactly 40 years... and the theatre are starting their season of celebration this month.  Their first performance took place on August 1st.

I believe The Lord was directing me to take a closer look at Persephone and what foundation the theatre has been built on.... I was sitting in my yard 40 years.  I believe is very significant.

We prayed last Sunday that we are no longer in the wilderness, we are no longer in the myth... we have prayed before, but I believe The Lord is reminding us that we are going to see the sea parting and we will move into our destiny bringing back the PRESENCE OF GOD INTO HIS HOUSE.
