Spotlight On: Morris

Written by  Lighthouse Victory Church

We all know Morris and his infectious smile. He has suffered with Multiple Sclerosis(MS) since he was 10 years old. Even though he was bedridden until he was 17, he knew that God has helped him to rise above his disability.

Being raised a Catholic, that helped him to know about the Lord and he was born again in 2001. He volunteers with Hands On (a children’s work next to his home) for 3 hours a day, Tuesday to Saturday. Morris says “I love this work, it keeps me active”.

Morris is going to P.A. – where his parents still live – to undertake a revolutionary treatment from Japan in the hope of seeing an improvement in his health. Morris is confident that we will pray for the success of his treatment as he loves being at the Lighthouse – “I love God and coming here makes my week. I am with friends and Idon’t feel good if I don’t come. God is in this place, He loves me and I know this church loves me too. Not everyone accepts people with disabilities. I enjoy all the services and the messages, thank you.”

Thank you, Morris, your persistence and amazing spirit are inspirational.
